Sarah’s career with Strathmore Lodge Nursing Home began as a staff nurse in 2005. In 2006 Sarah was appointed Assistant Director of Nursing. After spending just a year as Assistant Director of Nursing Sarah was given the role of Director of Nursing and has held that position since.
Sarah is very passionate about Dementia and Palliative Care and this enthusiasm is transferred to the staff and families through in-house training. This training has increased the knowledge and awareness of both staff and families. This was most evident when Sarah was short listed for the National Awards in Dementia Care in 2016.

Nikhila qualified as an RGN (Registered General Nurse) in 2004. Nikhila worked in India in a hospital setting from 2004 until 2008. In March 2008 Nikhila began her career in a Nursing Home setting in Carlow as a Staff Nurse.
In 2012 Nikhila joined our team at Strathmore Lodge as a Staff Nurse. It was quite obvious then that Nikhila displayed the qualities of an excellent Assistant Director and was given that title in 2013. Nikhila has done numerous training in Dementia and Palliative Care is very passionate about those of these. Nikhila completed, Certificate in Supervisory skills, in 2014. Nikhila is an excellent Nurse and Leader which is evident on a daily basis. Nikhila’s number one priority are the residents and families.
